Ushers are goodwill ambassadors for God. They enter to worship and leave to serve. The usher’s creed is “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I’d rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” (Psalm 84:10)

Come join us as we welcome our members, visitors and guests into the house of the Lord. There are five (5) usher boards at the church, all having various schedules and meeting times to fit your needs, and you can choose to usher at 8:00 AM, or 11:00 AM, or both worship services. In addition, the pastor may choose an usher board to accompany him, when needed, to sister churches.

Throughout the year there are opportunities for ushers to fellowship with one another at picnics, banquets, holiday parties and other events. For more information, contact Martha Fairbanks atmfairba@netzero.com.

Fidelia Usher Board

The Fidelia Usher Board was organized in 1952 to fill a need brought on by the growth of the church.  Mrs. Belle Brown was instrumental in organizing the board and was elected it’s first president.   She server for 18 years and saw it grow into a sizeable organization.  In 1972 Mrs. Audrey Davis succeeded Mrs. Brown as president and server for 30 years.   The Board continues to function effectively.   In 2003 Mrs. Ellon Colbert Williams succeeded Mrs. Davis as president and is currently serving in that capacity.

Our Purpose:  To Render service to the members and visitors of the congregation, and to build and strengthen a better method of church service.  Also, to strengthen the fellowship and love of all Ushers, by leading men and women to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.   Provide Ushers and Flowers on the 1^stSunday of each month, ad every 1^st Fifth Sunday of the Calendar year, and any services as directed by the Pastor.
